Positive Images 2015 Senior Portrait client Kadijah Means is destined to make a difference in the world.
Kadijah Means is a gradate from Berkeley High School located in Berkeley, CA. She has a great passion for helping create awareness of racial injustice that occurs within our communities and has made it no secret that she wants to spark a change.
Angela Davis once said, “I’m no longer accepting the things I cannot change…I’m changing the things I cannot accept.” In reading this quote it is understandable as to why Kadijah would like to meet Ms. Davis one day. Earlier this year Kadijah was awarded the Princeton Prize in Race Relations where she was among a group of 27 high school students around the country chosen to receive the award based on their work concerning race relations. It was her creating a documentary regarding race at her school and being an integral part in organizing various rallies that garnered attention by the program. In addition to her award from Princeton, Kadijah was also awarded The Next Generation MLK Jr. Leadership Award, the Mayors casinospelen-gratis Award for Leadership and Sports and her 2014 Compassionate Achiever Award.
Style and grace are other qualities that Kadijah possesses. Her favorite item in her closet is a pencil skirt in which she describes it as “a staple for the business casual crowd,” that “goes with everything.”
